OBD scanner

Here is the picture of the cable that I built for the Palio

I used FiatEcuScan software which is available here.
http://www.fiatecuscan.net/Default.aspx
the free version has a limitation of monitoring 4 parameters and works for only 20 minutes per session.

The schematic for the cable is available here:
http://www.skpang.co.uk/content/view/18/36/

The cable is easy to make once you get the components. The MC33290 is a SMD component and can be  soldered on a veroboard and otherwise the construction is simple.

There are other circuits available on the net with more commonly available components, but this is more robust.

BTW, the 3-Pin Fiat connector can be ordered from Tyco electronics.
the part numbers are:
282105-1 AMP SUPERSEAL 1.5 SERIES 3P
183036-1 MINI MIC TAB CONTACT L.P.
880811-2 COVER CAP, 3 WAY

Alternatevely there is an adapter cable + ELM327 cable for Fiat available from iRide

(Expensive solution)

  1. Air spillage can constrain the adequacy of your home's warming and cooling frameworks also. Carpets, dividers and roofs represent up to percent of air spillage in a home as indicated by Insulation Smart.com. Splash froth protection, which can help battle air spillage,
